Tomorrow is a week until WandaVision finally premieres on Disney +! Fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe are starving for new content, and the series looks like it will be just what it takes to get people excited about Phase Four again. There has been a lot of speculation about the upcoming series, with people looking for hints whenever possible. A few months ago, a fan noted that a wine bottle featured in the show’s trailer was labeled Maison du Mépris, which translates into English as House of Contempt. This made people wonder if “House” and “Mépris” should be a reference together House of M, one of the greatest Scarlet Witch stories in Marvel Comics. During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen was asked about the apparent Easter egg.
“This wine bottle,” said Kimmel, showing the bottle on the screen. ‘It says Maison du Mépris. It translates to ‘House of Misery’. ‘ Olsen laughed at Kimmel before adding, “Which could say the series is based on the popular comic. House of M, in which Wanda has an outage. “
Olsen has a lot of experience dodging Marvel spoilers, so rather than confirm or deny House of M rumor, she just praised “our gag boy Russell.” Olsen teased, “Russell would be a very, very smart man if he put that in there.” Kimmel replied, ‘So no then? Interesting.’ You can watch the clip below:
