Will Fortnite Season 6 bring back the classic map?

Is Fortnite Season 6 brings back the classic map? Well, a handful of leaks and observations may suggest just as many, or at least suggest that the game could return to the pre-Chapter 2 map. For one thing, there have been many theories and speculation over the past few months suggesting this is exactly true. Epic Games is working towards it. Whether any of these theories or any of these speculations have any merit remains to be seen, but they are supported by the occasional rumor or leak that so much suggests, and of course fans have been craving back to an older form of the map for quite some time.

Since Season 6 launched this month, dataminers have discovered two things added to the game’s files: dinosaurs and meteors. The fact that dinosaurs and meteors appear in the files at the same time certainly seems to suggest some kind of extinction event, although leaks sometimes make events sound more exciting than they ultimately are.

Many theories circulate within the Fortnite the community theorizes that dinosaurs will be added to the map and then wiped out with some sort of asteroid event. That said, while the leaks point to this as a possibility, they haven’t confirmed anything.

Of course, if some kind of extinction / asteroid event occurs, it is reasonable to think that it could result in the destruction of the current map, paving the way for a new map. In addition, the recent Season 6 cinematic trailer features a pre-Chapter 2 location, Happy Hamlet, which debuted in Season 7 as a Flush Factory replacement.

Now there’s nothing in the trailer confirming it’s Happy Helmet, but it’s unclear what else it could be. That said, it’s unclear why Happy Hamlet would be in the trailer unless you teased a pre-Chapter 2 map. The only explanation is that the map in the trailer is purely for cinematic purposes and so everything doesn’t matter, which is certainly possible, but not nearly as exciting.

For now, we only have speculation. That said, feel free to leave a comment or two to let us know what you think or, alternatively, give me a call on Twitter @RTLNews and let me know there. Is there anything about this theory? Would you like to see Fortnite back to a map from before Chapter 2 or even the original map?
