We could see some news this week for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2

February 13

If you could measure thirst, then just wait Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 would be an ocean.

It is certainly in a very unique position. Like the first Final Fantasy VII Remake bit bombed in every way, there probably wouldn’t even be a sequel. But it was good! And it has been sold! So everyone is eagerly waiting for Part 2 for a number of reasons, which it certainly does.

Many of us are curious about how the team could potentially adapt the open world structure; a stark contrast to the more linear, but personal Midgar setting. But for now, we can only speculate, as Square Enix hasn’t given us an ounce of real information about Part 2. That could change soon.

Tweeting hype for the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour this week, Square Enix confirmed that co-director Motomu Toriyama (who worked on the game with Nomura and Hamaguchi) will be hosting an “extra broadcast” ahead of the event. That’s just before 5:00 PM JST on February 13, which is 3AM ET on Saturday morning.

There is actually also a Feb. 12 event, but the tweet notes that it is the Feb. 13 event that will give us the goods.
