
When The Pokémon Company announced remakes of the Nintendo DS titles Diamond and pearl earlier this week, the most striking difference was of course the art style.
All the sprite work in the original games has now been replaced with cute 3D graphics in Brilliant diamond and shiny pearlIt has clearly been a lot of discussion since then, and we even ran a poll yesterday to see what everyone thought about it.
Today we present to you a side-by-side comparison of the 2006 games versus the 2021 Switch versions, courtesy of GameXplain. This clip features a look at the normal playback speed, followed by a delayed replay.
As you can see, there are some things that don’t even appear in the original games – that are brand new (like a Nintendo Switch in the main character’s bedroom, instead of a Wii) and then there are some things in there that seemingly confirm The contents of the platinum version are displayed.
