Donald Trump left his post as president on Wednesday, but beforehand used his last minutes in power to sign that memorandum extends US Secret Service protection for six months to all of your children.

According to senior US officials, Trump issued a directive to expand the protection of the Secret Service after the presidency to 13 members of his family, contrary to the law.
Federal law only prescribes that Trump, his wife Melania and their youngest son, Barron, 14-year-olds are the only family members entitled to Secret Service protection after they leave the White House.
Marriage has the right to receive it throughout his life, while Barron only receives it until he turns 16. Former Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, will also receive permanent security for the next six months under the same protection law.
