The federal prosecutor is asking Raphy Pina not to travel to the Dominican Republic to give birth

The federal prosecutor’s office today issued an opinion against producer Rafael “Raphy” Pina’s request to change the terms of his bail so that he can travel to the Dominican Republic to attend the birth of his daughter with the singer Natti Natasha .

Prosecutor María Montañez Concepción assured in the opposition that Pina has the facilities to escape her responsibilities in federal court to travel to the Dominican Republic and that witnessing the birth of her daughter in another country is not enough.

“The defendant’s decision to deliver his baby abroad is not a valid reason to change the original bail conditions deemed necessary to ensure that the defendant appears in future proceedings and for the safety of the community. a circumstance that should allow defendant Pina, a federal crime convict who is now charged with illegally possessing two guns and more than 500 ammunition, to leave the jurisdiction of the United States and go abroad . ”.

Following the position of the federal prosecutor, the request remains in the hands of Judge Francisco A. Besosa.

The terms of the bond under which Pina was released included payment of $ 1 million, surrender of his passport, and permission to travel between Miami and Puerto Rico.

Pina’s request would be to travel from April 23 to June 3 to the country where her father was born.

Despite the fact that Pina offered to carry GPS tracking on her trip to the Dominican Republic, the federal prosecutor pointed out that it is a private system taken over by the same manufacturer.
