A pandemic, two bachelors, three months: we’ve finally reached the end of Season 16 of “The Bachelorette’s”.
Tayshia was not in love at the start of this episode, part 1 of this week’s finale. She falls but doesn’t know which perfect man to choose: Ivan, Zac or Brendan.
It’s getting harder for the guys to ignore the fact that they’re all dating the same girl, especially since they’re actually good friends.
Zac said it best. “I want my sister to go out with them, not my girlfriend,” he said.
Monday night’s episode brought the highly anticipated fantasy suite dates, on which Tayshia can spend a night without cameras with each of the men. It usually means sex and make-or-break conversations.
On Tuesday night, someone will get on one knee and propose to her. Here’s how the first part of the finale went.
Ivan’s date
The boy got the cold shoulder. An evil producer had Ivan and Tayshia compete for the world record for the longest, coldest kiss. They had to kiss in an ice bucket for more than five minutes. I pray for its lower region; I don’t think freezing your balls bodes well for sexy time. The couple “smashed” the world record by locking the lips for 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
But the coolest moment came when Ivan told Tayshia that he is in love with her during dinner. Tayshia said she fell for him too (not the same) and they kissed. Of course they accepted the invitation to spend the night only together. Despite living in an empty resort full of suites, they were given the key to a cramped RV.
“It’s hard to know you’re sharing these experiences,” Brendan said when Ivan returned and shared the details of his date, much to their dismay.
Zac’s date
Zac and Tayshia donned white bathing suits and rolled around in body paint on a canvas, creating “art of their love.” Unlike Ivan’s date, it was romantic and sexy and completely made up for the fact that they couldn’t travel to a distant destination. After the art was made, they were allowed to take a steamy outdoor shower and clean up each other. Obviously, the producers have a favorite.
During dinner, Zac told her he loved her and she screamed saying she loved him too. It was an enthusiastic statement on both sides, and more than she has given any other man. “I don’t think I’ve felt like this before,” she told him. “I really feel like this is such a dream,” she said as they entered the fantasy suite, which was a real suite.
They were both extremely dizzy in the morning, jumped on the bed and told each other how much they loved each other.
When Zac got back he tried to hide his smile and told the guys it was the ‘real deal’.
Diamond connoisseur and Bachelor Nation favorite Neil Lane was brought in to show Tayshia and Brendan some jewelry. When the engagement rings and wedding rings came out, Brendan started to sweat. He’s been married (and divorced) before and said a few weeks ago that he wasn’t sure he was ready to propose yet. A nerve was hit, huge.
As he dined in a sea of twinkling lights, Brendan let his true feelings run wild. When I got here I thought I was ready [because] More than anything else, I want a wife and children and a family on Earth, ”he told Tayshia. ‘I want to give you my heart, but sitting here today my heart is not whole. You deserve a man healed from his past and unfortunately I am not that man right now. “
Tayshia was stunned. After walking him out, she burst into tears. “He’s been a person that I thought every day, ‘It’s Brendan,’” she told cameras.
Rachel’s visit
Former bachelorette Rachel Lindsay came to help Tayshia with her decision. Of course they talked about Brendan’s departure and how the dates with Ivan and Zac went. But Ben, who went home with a heartbreaking goodbye last week, was also discussed. He couldn’t tell Tayshia how he felt, and she was still thinking about him.
As luck would have it, Ben came back to the resort. In a conversation with Chris Harrison, Ben revealed that he is still in love with Tayshia.
As she prepared for the rose ceremony, Ben surprised Tayshia at her door. “Of course he’s come now,” she muttered to herself.
“The feelings I’ve had all along, I didn’t know what it was, but I’m in love with you. I’ve been in love with you, ”Ben finally said to her. “I blew it not to tell you right now.”
Tayshia was upset. She walked into a room and asked a producer, “What should I do?”
Prediction
I think (I hope) she won’t let Ben stay. He’s just not ready for a fragile relationship. After he left last week, Tayshia complained that she always had to pull his feelings out of him. She shouldn’t have to volunteer to do that emotional work for him for a lifetime.
Tayshia should say yes when Zac gets down on one knee. ‘Falling for’ someone like Ivan isn’t good enough the day before you get engaged. If she’s already in love with Zac, why isn’t she with Ivan yet? Because it is not intended.
