SNK’s attempt to tease their character revelations for The King of Fighters 15 with silhouettes has resulted in a ton of great meme artwork being created, and even developers in other studios are getting in on the fun.
Street Fighter 5 director Takayuki Nakayama practices his own art skills every week to humorously watch who comes next. His latest piece is arguably the best yet.
With most of the likely guesses going to a handful of female fighters this time, Nakayama took things in a completely different direction by choosing to sign one of Fatal Fury’s iconic bosses.
Wolfgang Krauser von Stroheim makes a surprising appearance here along with some feline companions who kind of steal the show as they are dressed up as other villains from the series.
The one in Krauser’s arms clearly turns out to be Mr. Big, whom he drew last week with his sunglasses and puffy coat, which I can’t say enough of how much I love.
As for whoever jumps off his shoulder, that cat is actually dressed up as Geese Howard, specifically from Fatal Fury 3 with the yellow pattern on his pants.

Nakayama says in the tweet that he couldn’t help but see that part as a cat sticking out of the portrait, which the director seems to be a huge fan of, as he also appears to have done the art for the cat-themed Neco Drop. April Fool’s Day games for SF5.
Krauser, Geese and Mr. Big have officially joined forces as the Bosses Team in KOF96, so this is a nice little nod to not just Fatal Fury, but the bigger series as well.
It’s been a while since Krauser made an official, playable appearance in an SNK fighting game, as his last time on the roster came all the way back in KOF98: Ultimate Match.
There isn’t much to stop the imposing Krauser from entering the KOF15 tournament, although it feels pretty questionable considering he’s been a non-entity for such a long time.
For legitimate guesswork, our first choice took us to a previously non-playable villain from Ash Crimson’s bow because of what we thought was a scarf, but after seeing some comments pointing it out, that part of the silhouette might very well be a hand too. .
We’ll somehow find out for sure later tonight with SNK’s official reveal, but so far Nakayama has a 0 percent success rate. He probably intends to keep it that way.
