Snowy owl spotted again in Central Park, pounces on prey

CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (WABC) – The now famous Manhattan Snowy Owl was spotted again in Central Park.

The rare beast was seen on Saturday night jumping on a mouse from under the snow.

Bird watchers were in Central Park on Thursday looking for a rare visitor, a Snowy Owl, who had been spotted in the park the day before.

Later it was seen high on the North Meadow.

The bird has quickly become one of the city’s top attractions, drawing large crowds in the park despite freezing temperatures.

Eyewitness News caught the rare Central Park snowy owl on camera more than a week ago, having been spotted for the first time in over 100 years.
