The Senate passed a $ 2.3 trillion COVID-19 bill Monday night and sent it to President Trump for signature.
The legislation – following the passage in Parliament – allows $ 600 incentive vouchers for people who earn less than $ 75,000 per year and an additional payment of $ 600 per child.
The bill includes a $ 300 weekly unemployment insurance supplement and also has $ 284.4 billion in the Paycheck Protection Program of loans that can be forgiven for small businesses.
It allocates $ 82 billion to schools and colleges, $ 40 billion for vaccine and virus testing distribution, $ 25 billion in rental aid, and $ 15 billion for live entertainment venues.
It also creates new penalties for copyright violation with unauthorized online streaming.
