Scarlet Witch’s Lullaby gets English translation

As plagued by most advanced students WandaVision marketing, it was always believed that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) would eventually have twins. That time has now come, with the birth of their children in the most recent episode of WandaVision. Minor spoilers ahead for “Now in Color,” so proceed with caution if you haven’t seen the show’s final episode yet!

Once the episode begins to calm down a breeze, giving Wanda time to absorb and relax, she begins singing a Sokovian lullaby for the two. Sure, this ends in what looks like a fight between her and Geraldine (Teyonah Parris), but it doesn’t matter. While Sokovia is a fictional country created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some have noticed (via The Direct) the subtitles in selected international countries provide the text in the native language of the market. That means it is translatable to English.

In one example, those with Portuguese subtitles are actually subtitled for the lullaby in Portuguese instead of the fictional Sokovian language. Those who have translated it found it said, “I’ve been waiting for you and this day has come. My heart became a house full of light, full of light.”

While the first three episodes of the series were relatively slow, Olsen herself has said things will pick up once Episode Four hits Disney + on January 29.

“When we started filming this show, we had all nine scripts, so I didn’t really need to know what was going on. It was very specific,” Olsen recently told me. Digital spy. “I think the reason they’re showing the first episodes to the press is because episode 4 is quite a shift. It’s a really nice exchange of perspective and I think a lot is being understood at the time.”
