Potential Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC Trademark Expands to US

Final Fantasy VII Remake

On the back of a number of Square Enix trademark notices made public last month related to Final Fantasy VII Remake, the term “ Ever Crisis ” now expanded to the US.. It was filed six days ago and now means the trademark covers Japan, Europe, Canada and Australia as well as America. There is no word on the other recent trademarks coming out of Square Enix (“The First Soldier” and the Shinra logo) at the time of writing.

However, there is now another trademark besides those three. Now registered in Europe, the US and Australia, “The Isle Dragon Roars” leaves fans speculating as to whether it relates to the recent PlayStation 4 remake or the upcoming Nintendo Switch title Bravely Default II. We’ll have to wait and see what happens to that.

Regardless, there’s a chance Final Fantasy VII Remake news will be shared this weekend as part of a digital concert in Japan. The game’s co-director Motomu Toriyama has teased a “special program” regarding last year’s remake. “There will be a few things about Final Fantasy VII Remake that will only be revealed at this concert.” This translation, however, has been disputed since publication by Gematsu. The event takes place on February 13, 2021, so everything will be announced soon.
