PlayStation is reportedly losing one of its biggest exclusive games this year

PlayStation is reportedly losing one of its biggest exclusive games this year. Last year was an important year for PS4 exclusives. For example, Spirit of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, and Person 5 Royal all just released last year. Final Fantasy VII Remake also released last year as a PS4 exclusive, and apparently coming to PS5 in 2021 and apparently will no longer be a PlayStation exclusive either as it is reportedly coming to PC this year too.

The report comes in the manner of a Reset Era user and insider KatharsisT, who doesn’t reveal much, but claims Square Enix will announce the game is coming to PS5 sometime this year. And this makes sense. Of course it is. But the rumor doesn’t end there. It is further noted that the PS5 version will be announced alongside a PC version. This may come as a surprise to some, but rumors and leaks in the past have suggested not only that the acclaimed RPG was coming to PC, but Xbox consoles too. That said, the aforementioned insider doesn’t currently mention Xbox.

Unfortunately, this is where the details end, and it’s important to remember that everything disclosed here is of the unofficial kind and so should be taken with a grain of salt. While many trust the source in question, there have been instances where they were wrong, which is to some extent part of being a leaker and insider.

As you may recall, PC code was found in the demo files of the game last year, while one of the game’s trailer contained footage of PC gameplay. There could be nothing about this, but combined and then combined with this rumor is enough evidence to suggest that something is up. After all, where there is smoke, there is usually fire.

At the time of publication, Square Enix has not yet commented on this new one Final Fantasy VII Remake rumor, and it’s unlikely it will, but if it does, we’ll definitely update the post accordingly.
