New Fortnite skin accused of being pay-to-win

One of the skins that has been added Fortnite in recent months many players are starting to frustrate. So much so that some are starting to see that it has a clear competitive advantage and ask that it be either removed from the game or improved in some way.

This source of contention among the Fortnite community centers around the superhero skin added earlier in Season 4 and recently returned. The skin allows players to create their own designs and color schemes, and that’s where the problem begins. Some have found that if they create a skin completely decked out in black, they can then hide in certain corners of the map without being seen. In essence, while most of the skins in the game stand out relatively well compared to the background, this superhero costume can be used as camouflage.

So do you think the black superhero skins need a grain? from r / FortNiteBR

A lot of Fortnite fans on Reddit agree that something about the skin needs to be changed. While some have offended those who would choose to start using the skin this way, others have provided simple feedback on what they think needs to be done to change the skin. “They should just give it a white outline or something simple like that,” suggested one user. It sounds like a simple change, but it is one that could actually work.

At this time, Epic Games has not announced that it will take any action to improve this skin, but changes are likely to come soon. There have been skins in the past that have been accused of a competitive advantage by fans, and Epic would later change them in later patches. The same will likely happen here, but it remains to be seen how long it will take for a new hotfix to arrive.

Until that time, Fortnite Season 5 just keeps going, even bringing in some unlikely additions this week, such as Bigfoot. If you’d like to keep up with all of our future coverage of the game, you can do so by following this page.
