Monster Hunter Rise is the latest Ninjala Crossover and “Collab Gacha” is also coming

GungHo’s online arena brawl Ninjala launched last June as a free-to-play Switch exclusive and has steadily built a solid fan base in the months since. In January, GungHo celebrated six million downloads, so it’s definitely doing something right. Over the five seasons (so far) the game has had several collabs – temporary crossovers with other game series – and the latest collaboration brings Monster Hunter Risethemed avatars, items and more for the game.

Scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. PT on April 27, the collaboration lasts one month until 6:59 a.m.PT on May 26, the developers posted a tweet and one of their regular developer diary videos, which provides a full rundown of the themed items on display (see below).

Players can don Monster Hunter Rise-themed armor, try out Monster Hunter emotes (including “BBQ Success”, “BBQ Fail” and everyone’s favorite “Weapon Sharpening”), as well as an IPPON decoration, stickers and various in-house features. game goodies.

The juiciest of these collab items – the armor ‘styles’ – will be paired with a new feature: the only one named ‘Collab Gacha’, a gumball machine that will presumably introduce a chance element to the style you end up with.

How expensive this collab will be for Monster Hunter fans is a bit unclear at this point. Previous Ninjala collabs included the Puzzles & Dragons series and – perhaps most importantly – Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends. The latter came with some really dazzling prizes if you wanted the Sonic cosmetic skins – the amount of Jala (Ninjala’s in-game currency) needed to get all three available skins was a whopping £ 48. Sip!

We can only hope this new gear is a bit more affordable, but that seems unlikely, doesn’t it? That word ‘gacha’ usually means that the wallet takes a beating.
