BioWare gave us our first real look at Mass Effect Legendary Edition last week. The remastered pack includes all three titles from the original trilogy, plus enhanced character models, assets, textures and lighting. It’s also set to run at 60 frames per second on PS5 and PS4 Pro, with support for 4K resolution.
We’ve already seen Commander Shepard’s mug overhauled in the first game, but what about everything else? Well, GameSpot has put together an excellent nine-minute video that aligns shots from the original games (on PC) with shots from the reveal trailer, which we embedded above. It doesn’t take long to realize that the Legendary Edition is an expected leap in the right direction. Everything has an extra level of detail and the lighting is much more effective. The difference isn’t that noticeable in Mass Effect 3 (again, expected), but overall, Legendary Edition looks great.
