George Hill Finally Makes Sixers Debut vs. Warriors, Ben Simmons eliminated

The Philadelphia 76ers continue their march to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference on Monday, as they take on the Golden State Warriors at home and there is good news and bad news on the way to this one.

The good news is that George Hill will finally make his Sixers debut on Monday after being acquired in a deal with Oklahoma City Thunder on March 25. This will be Hill’s first game since January 24, before undergoing a procedure on his thumb.

“I love him with our team,” said coach Doc Rivers. ‘I’m not excited yet. I think it’s going to take him some time. We’re not going to play him for many minutes in a row now. We’re just going to try to put him back at ease and in a week or so, if nothing happens of course, then I think we’ll be thrilled. We can see what we can do. “

The bad news is that the team will miss Ben Simmons who will miss the game with a non-COVID illness. The Sixers will now face an explosive Warriors team without the help of their best perimeter defender, but this will open the door for a longer time for Hill in his debut.

The Sixers and Warriors will tip from the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
