Epic Games has just got the first look at it Fortnite’s version of Ant-Man, but if you didn’t look closely enough, chances are you missed it completely. The game’s Twitter account shared a teaser indicating a new Marvel skin was coming and hid Ant-Man in the image for players to find before he arrived. This tease ties in nicely with the appearance of a new portal and previous references to Ant-Man suggesting he would be arriving soon.
The image below could be one Fortnite players will remember from earlier in 2020 when the skins came from Deadpool and X-Force FortniteIt shows Domino, Cable and Psylocke in that order, but there is another character hidden in the picture when you look at Cable’s arms.
Over the seasons, many Marvel heroes and villains have made their way to the island. But it seems we may have forgotten one.

Like many players have pointed it out for others who haven’t caught the plague in the X-Force image, that’s definitely Ant-Man sitting on Cable’s arm just below his elbow. He will of course be normal sized when added to the game, but it’s a smart tease to hint him when he arrives. It looks like he’s wearing the classic outfit that people expect to be in when added, but it’s hard to tell the details given how small his presence is in the teaser.
Although Ant-Man has now made his first Fortnite appearance and the tweet including his likeness directly referred to as Marvel characters, players already suspected he would be added to the game afterward. Even before his portal officially appeared in the game, the portal was discovered in the game’s files codenamed “SmallFry,” immediately reminding Ant-Man. The Marvel section of the in-game Item Shop has also been updated recently in an apparent effort to prepare for the arrival of a new skin or a returning Marvel skin. Based on the portal and the latest teaser coming in the game, it looks like this will be the first when Ant-Man is officially added.
It probably won’t be much longer for Ant-Man to be officially in the game since then Fortnite’s teasers usually follow set patterns and move quickly once they start. It could be added as soon as possible this weekend, although Epic Games will be sure to let players know when it’s available for purchase.
After adding Ant-Man, we still have plenty of skins we’d like to see before Season 6 starts or sometime after.
