It looks like Thanos could return to Fortnite sometime in the future. While this is by no means a guarantee, new information about the ever-popular multiplayer shooter has recently emerged that may plague the arrival of the Mad Titan. That said, these details could also indicate the arrival of an entirely new character.
Recently discovered in the code of Fortnitea data miner has discovered that a new animation for an extra-large male character skin has recently been added to the game. The way this goes back to Thanos is because the popular Marvel villain was previously the only character in the history of Fortnite which was once listed as an XL skin in the game code. The fact that some sort of XL skin has appeared in the code again suggests that Thanos could return.
An animation for oversized male skin was added in 15.40.

However, as mentioned earlier, there is a chance that this animation is completely tied to something else. Simply because Thanos is the only XL character in Fortnite so far doesn’t mean it will be like this forever. Therefore, here we could see a new character the same size as Thanos being teased Fortnite in short time.
That said, take what’s expressed here with the usual grain of salt. While it is usually a good source of information regarding future events, there are instances where details arising from data mining do not lead to anything in the actual game in question.
