Flu shots reduce risk of COVID-19 symptoms in children, claim study

According to the UK’s National Health Services (NHS), the main symptoms of COVID-19 in children are similar to those affecting adults. The symptoms include: new or persistent cough and loss or change of sense of smell and taste. Aside from that, some may have cold symptoms such as sore throat, congestion or a runny nose and chills.

However, one of the significant symptoms in children is multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), which causes severe inflammation in several organs of the body, including heart, lungs, blood vessels, kidneys, digestive system, brain, skin, or eyes. A COVID positive child who has developed multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) may show a variety of symptoms, ranging from high temperature, rash and abdominal pain to diarrhea and shortness of breath.
