A Florida golfer drowned in a pond while looking for a lost golf ball, authorities said.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Hermilo Jazmines’ body was pulled from a pond near the Oldsmar Country Club by divers on Sunday.
Delegates said Jazmines, 74, was last seen playing golf just after 7:30 am with a friend.
Witnesses told authorities he was looking for his ball near hole three.
His golf cart was discovered still parked on the path, while his putter was near the pond, authorities said.
Investigators said they believe Jazmines fell into the water and drowned.
Authorities said his death does not appear suspicious, but an autopsy has been ordered.
