Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC detailed, will be two chapters long

Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC

Square Enix has released some finer details about Episode Yuffie – the Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC that will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 once Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade releases this summer. As seen in the reveal trailer, on this adventure, you’ll play as the young ninja and be joined by a new character named Sonon.

Sonon isn’t actually fully playable in combat, but Yuffie will be able to perform tag team attacks with his help. Plus, Yuffie’s giant shuriken weapon lets her fight at every range, which should allow for some degree of strategy.

As for Episode Yuffie’s story, all we know is that it will be spread over two ‘chapters’. We don’t know how long these chapters will be, of course, but if it’s anything like the main game, we’re probably betting this DLC will last at most a few hours. Hopefully it will be entertaining while it lasts.

We also don’t know how expensive Episode Yuffie will be – just that it has to be bought separately from Remake Intergrade. No doubt we will get a lot more information in the coming months.

Oh, and that edgy-looking guy with the crazy hair from the trailer? More devoted fans may have already recognized him: his name is Weiss, and he comes from the bleak PS2 title Dirge of Cerberus. Thankfully, it doesn’t sound like Weiss will be part of the DLC’s story. Instead, he’s a powerful boss you can fight in the game’s VR arena. relief
