Epic Games Store unveils latest free holiday game

The Epic Games Store’s multi-weekly promotion, with a total of 15 free games released, is finally coming to an end today, but the showcase has one last gift in tow. Fortunately, today’s free offering is a bit different from any other and won’t force you to act that quickly.

Jurassic World Evolution is the last game that Epic Games has made available for free on the storefront to close 2020. First released in 2018, the title is clearly based on the iconic movie franchise and lets players build their own dinosaur theme park. Jurassic World Evolution lets you create your own unique dinosaur species and overcome all kinds of pitfalls that can occur in your park. This is Jurassic World so not everything goes as intended.

The best of Jurassic World Evolution’s Besides the Epic Games Store, you don’t have just 24 hours to download the title for free. Just like the usual free EGS game program, Jurassic World is a game that gives you a full week to linger for yourself. From now through next week on January 7, players can add the game to their own library for free.

This expansion of the game’s availability will bring the Epic Games Store back to normal from now on. If you’re not familiar with how the storefront works, Epic releases a free game on its platform every week of the year. While Jurassic World Evolution is the first game to be released to launch in 2020, on January 7 Howling suns take its place.

Even though this event has now officially ended, the current Epic Game Store sale is not. The marketplace’s Christmas sale, which offers discounts of up to 75%, continues for another week and also ends on January 7.

As we continue into 2021, we’ll be sure to update you on the other free games coming to the Epic Games Store over the course of the year. If you want to stay up to date with all that coverage, you can follow our dedicated page here.
