DC Comics explains how Robert Pattinson and Michael Keaton’s Batman will co-exist in their cinematic universe

On March 4, 2022, ‘The Batman’ will be released, the Dark Knight’s ‘reboot’ featuring British actor Robert Pattinson playing the superhero. But in the DC Comics movie universe, in his next movies, another actor dresses up as the Bat Man: Michael Keaton.

Keaton, remembered for playing Batman in the films ‘Batman’ (1989) and ‘Batman Returns’ (1992) directed by Tim Burton, will reprise the character in ‘The Flash’, director Andy Muschietti’s next film starring Ezra. Miller as Barry Allen and that will arrive in 2022 too. Interestingly, that movie would also feature the scarlet speedster Ben Affleck’s Batman, questioned due to the differences between the actor and Warner Bros.

Despite this, DC Comics has been in charge of explaining how two and possibly three Batman’s will co-exist in its movie universe, with Robert Pattinson as its bet for the future.

Multiverse

The ‘New York Times’ interviewed Walter Hamada, president of DC Films, who confirmed a multiverse in his subsequent films, confirming the presence of Gal Gadot as’ Wonder Woman’ in other superhero films and the date she set for the premiere of ‘ The flash’.

To understand everything between Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman, DC Films and Warner will introduce fans to “parallel worlds in which different versions of the same character exist at the same time.”

Basically, the feature film franchise will have two worlds and journalist Brooks Barnes, who interviewed Hamada, has confirmed on Twitter that Batman’s future will be linked to two names: Pattinson and Keaton, whose participation is limited to the Flash tape for now.
