CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that the “real income” season will kick off Monday after major banks released their quarterly results earlier this week.
“We’re actually getting the impact of both inflation and the reopening,” he said of “Mad Money.” “I think the former is a big downside, but the latter is so positive that the ball can stay in the air, ready for some nice stuff over the net and on the ground.”
Cramer gave his game plan for the coming week. Earnings per share forecasts are based on FactSet estimates:
Monday: Coca-Cola, United Airlines, IBM
- Q1 2021 Profit Disclosure: Before Market; conference call: 8.30 am
- Expected earnings per share: 50 cents
- Expected Revenue: $ 8.68 Billion
“I’m worried about Coca-Cola’s pure drink with no snacking business,” said Cramer, “but I’m still expecting quite a few from them and a great story about the foodservice reopening.”
United Airlines
- Q1 2021 profit release: after market; conference call: Tuesday at 10:30 am
- Expected Losses Per Share: $ 7.05
- Expected Revenue: $ 3.27 billion
“If it’s like Delta, you’re going to hear about the boom ahead,” he said, adding the stock may continue to rise. “I think this is the right place to be.”
IBM
- Q1 2021 profit release: after market; conference call: 5:00 pm
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.69
- Expected Revenue: $ 17.32 Billion
“What’s the new IBM going to do, the one that has kept the fast-growing companies under Red Hat’s leadership? I think it’s too early to say, but the stock is sticking,” Cramer said.
Tuesday: Abbott Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Netflix
- Q1 2021 Profit Disclosure: Before Market; conference call: 9.30 am
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.27
- Expected earnings: $ 10.69 billion
“Abbott has done such a good job in Covid diagnostics … it’s hard to believe they won’t get it out of the park,” Cramer said.
Johnson & Johnson
- Release of income in the first quarter of 2021: 06:45 AM; conference call: 8.30 am
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.34
- Expected Revenue: $ 22 billion
“J&J has become more controversial, although I think it has been unfairly punished by a CDC that appears to be more intent on scaring the public about vaccination than getting people vaccinated with any safety,” he said. “I bet J&J has a great quarter and an even better pipeline.”
Procter & Gamble
- Q3 2021 Profit Disclosure: Before Market; conference call: 8.30 am
- Expected earnings per share: $ 1.19
- Expected Revenue: $ 17.97 billion
“The Street is actually concerned about this. First, there are tough comparisons to the stay-at-home numbers they pulled up a year ago,” said the host. Second, they deal with real inflation from plastics to surfactants [and] freight. “
Netflix

- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.97
- Expected Revenue: $ 7.14 Billion
“This should be fun. Netflix usually beats the numbers and the directors always seem to love talking about their business,” he said. “Even the Netflix conference call has good content.”
Wednesday: Verizon, Lam Research, Chipotle

- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.29
- Expected Revenue: $ 32.47 billion
“I’m starting to believe it’s stuck there, making it feel more like a bond than a stock,” Cramer said. “If you have to have a telephone company, I have to tell you I prefer T-Mobile.”
Lam Research
- Q3 2021 earnings announcement: after market; conference call: 5:00 pm
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 6.61
- Expected Revenue: $ 3.72 billion
“Lam is the answer to the semiconductor shortage – they make the equipment needed to make new chips,” he said. “When you hear Taiwan Semi talk endlessly about increasing its budget for capital goods, it means Lam is going to make a fortune.”
Chipotle
- Release of income in the first quarter: 4:10 PM; conference call: 4.30 pm
- Expected earnings per share: $ 4.89
- Expected Revenue: $ 1.75 billion
“I bet this paragon of great natural food and phenomenal customer service will blow the doors of the quarter, triggering another round of target price increases as the analysts desperately try to catch up with the stock price,” the host said.
Thursday: Union Pacific, Dow, Danaher, Nucor, Intel Boston Beer
- Release of income Q1 2021: 8 a.m.; conference call: 8:45 am
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.06
- Expected Revenue: $ 5.05 Billion
“I think Union Pacific is going to tell a story about making more with less, which means there’s a lot of efficiency,” Cramer said.
Dow
- Release of income Q1 2021: 6 a.m. conference call: 8 hours
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.12
- Expected Revenue: $ 11.09 billion
“If PPG is a guide from last night, it should bring in some amazing numbers, allowing the stock to break through to $ 70,” he said.
Danaher
- Release of income in the first quarter of 2021: 6 a.m. conference call: 8 hours
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.76
- Expected Income: $ 6.29 billion
“I can’t wait to see how well they are doing,” said the host. “I expect a great quarter.”
Nucor
- Release of income Q1 2021: To be determined; conference call: 2 pm
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 3.05
- Expected Revenue: $ 7.18 Billion
“We are in an inflationary era, be it transient or not, so Nucor should be putting in incredible numbers,” he said.
Intel
- Q1 2021 profit release: after market; conference call: 5:00 pm
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.14
- Expected Revenue: $ 17.78 billion
“I think Pat is doing a great job inspiring people both inside and outside of this great institution,” said Cramer. ‘If the stock hit, I would be a buyer. Gelsinger can’t turn the Intel battleship on a dime, but it will be flipped. ‘
Boston beer
- Release of income Q1 2021: 4 pm; conference call: 5:00 pm
- Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.55
- Expected Revenue: $ 477 million
“I think the shorts will lean against Boston Beer, as always, because of the [spiked seltzer] competition, “he said.” My opinion? The category is growing so fast that Sam Adams parent should be doing just fine, thank you. ‘
Friday: Honeywell, American Express

“Honeywell is going to be a software-as-a-building service game, not to mention an incredible healthcare company. I think the numbers could go even higher,” Cramer said.
American Express

- Expected Revenue: $ 9.21 billion
“It’s all about gauging the power of the grand reopening. With the combination of small businesses… credit, travel and entertainment lines, we should be able to get a good sense of the power of the future. recovery, ”he said.
