Cramer’s Next Week: Earnings Season Accelerating

Jim Cramer

Scott Mlyn | CNBC

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that the “real income” season will kick off Monday after major banks released their quarterly results earlier this week.

“We’re actually getting the impact of both inflation and the reopening,” he said of “Mad Money.” “I think the former is a big downside, but the latter is so positive that the ball can stay in the air, ready for some nice stuff over the net and on the ground.”

Cramer gave his game plan for the coming week. Earnings per share forecasts are based on FactSet estimates:

Monday: Coca-Cola, United Airlines, IBM

Tuesday: Abbott Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Netflix

Wednesday: Verizon, Lam Research, Chipotle

Thursday: Union Pacific, Dow, Danaher, Nucor, Intel Boston Beer

Union Pacific

  • Release of income Q1 2021: 8 a.m.; conference call: 8:45 am
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.06
  • Expected Revenue: $ 5.05 Billion

“I think Union Pacific is going to tell a story about making more with less, which means there’s a lot of efficiency,” Cramer said.

Dow

  • Release of income Q1 2021: 6 a.m. conference call: 8 hours
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.12
  • Expected Revenue: $ 11.09 billion

“If PPG is a guide from last night, it should bring in some amazing numbers, allowing the stock to break through to $ 70,” he said.

Danaher

  • Release of income in the first quarter of 2021: 6 a.m. conference call: 8 hours
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.76
  • Expected Income: $ 6.29 billion

“I can’t wait to see how well they are doing,” said the host. “I expect a great quarter.”

Nucor

  • Release of income Q1 2021: To be determined; conference call: 2 pm
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 3.05
  • Expected Revenue: $ 7.18 Billion

“We are in an inflationary era, be it transient or not, so Nucor should be putting in incredible numbers,” he said.

Intel

  • Q1 2021 profit release: after market; conference call: 5:00 pm
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 1.14
  • Expected Revenue: $ 17.78 billion

“I think Pat is doing a great job inspiring people both inside and outside of this great institution,” said Cramer. ‘If the stock hit, I would be a buyer. Gelsinger can’t turn the Intel battleship on a dime, but it will be flipped. ‘

Boston beer

  • Release of income Q1 2021: 4 pm; conference call: 5:00 pm
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $ 2.55
  • Expected Revenue: $ 477 million

“I think the shorts will lean against Boston Beer, as always, because of the [spiked seltzer] competition, “he said.” My opinion? The category is growing so fast that Sam Adams parent should be doing just fine, thank you. ‘

Friday: Honeywell, American Express
