Like father Like Son.
Tiger Woods’ 11-year-old son Charlie made headlines before this weekend’s PNC Championship, and his swing was all over Twitter with his Eagle on Saturday. He hit his first shot 180 yards and then hit a putt.
The duo finished -10 on the day and tied for sixth place. Matt Kuchar and his 12-year-old son Cameron are in the lead with -14.
The event is reserved for great champions and a family member.
Padraig Harrington sparked some hype this weekend by saying Charlie Woods would be the story of the tournament.
“What I do find interesting is that I think Tiger turned pro for me or around the same time,” Harrington said Friday, according to ESPN. “This is the first tournament I’ve ever played in which Tiger Woods plays, because he’s not the star of the show.
He should notice that himself. He’s not the star of the show this week. And that’s very much among the players and the pros. We all go down and everyone stops to look at Charlie. “Get out of the way, Tiger.” It’s unbelievable how much excitement it causes. “
He has not been wrong so far.
