Ariel Pink was dropped by his record label Mexican Summer. The label tweeted that it “has decided to stop [its] working relationship ‘with the artist’ to ‘progress’. On Jan. 7, it was reported that Ariel Pink was attending a pro-Trump rally that took place on the lawn of the White House on Jan. 6, shortly before hundreds of insurgents, some of them armed, gained access to the Capitol building.

Pink confirmed his attendance at the meeting by writing on Twitter, “I was in DC to peacefully express my support for the President… I attended the meeting on the White House lawn and went back to the hotel and took a nap. . case closed. ”He has said he was not part of the crowd that stormed the Capitol.
