With the rest of Final Fantasy VII be remastered, re-developed or made again, it would be silly if the computer-animated tie-in movie weren’t expected. Today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced the 4K Ultra HD remaster of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Childrencomplete with HDR support and bilingual Dolby Atmos sound. So fancy.

The new 4K release is a 2009 remastered version Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, which added 25 minutes to the runtime of the original film, revised a lot of scenes, and delved a little deeper into Cloud’s development. All that, remastered in 4K with HDR10, and new English and Japanese audio tracks.

The release contains two discs. This is what it says:

  • Newly remastered in 4K, with HDR10
