Justin Herbert was voted ‘Rookie of the Year’ by fans

The young quarterback has left historic traces for a rookie in NFL history

The quarterback Justin Herbert from Los Angeles chargers, has the name Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year 2020. He became the first Chargers player to win the award since Keenan Allen in 2013 – underline that this is not the prize awarded by the AP to the entry-level player of the year chosen by journalists.

Herbert, sixth overall pick in the last NFL draft, left historical traces in his first year as a professional. Notably, the record for the most TD passes by a rookie quarterback (31) and the most touchdowns for a rookie QB in NFL history (36).

In addition, he set the best mark for a rookie quarterback for completions (396) and second for most passing yards (4,336).

Each week, five were nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week award, nine times in the 2020 season, Herber received the nomination. Ben Roethlisberger (2004) in number of awards from week to week.
