The first episode of WandaVision presents us with a classic sitcom with many hidden secrets. Here we tell you everything we could discover.
With the premiere of WandaVision, we usher in the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where we can see the events after Avengers Endgame, all through a very interesting sitcom in which Wanda and Vision are a happily married couple.
Strange and clear, there are a lot of secrets in the first episode that everyone should know and here we present them below.
August 23 on the calendar
The plot of the first episode takes place on August 23, where Vision’s head Mr. Hart will visit them for dinner.. But the date can be a reference to two important things.
The first is that, using the European way of converting dates, This would look like 8/23 and number 238 from The Avengers comic presents us with a vision in a coma, who gets help from the new avenger (at the time) named Starfox. This avenger connects the spirit of Vision with ISAAC, a supercomputer that exists on Titan’s moon and with which he manages to escape from that state.
Unfortunately, being in contact with ISAAC makes Vision unstable, who later tries to take control of planet Earth through the computer network that already exists on the planet.
Because ISAAC is a computer located on another planet and that it belongs to the Eternals, anything to do with it would be an external threat to planet Earth.
Interestingly, this could be what happened to Vision and the reason he lives in the series, maybe his consciousness is stuck in ISAAC and at the end of the series it will be Wanda who has to stop Vision before he wants to take over Earth … or not.
SWORD takes a look at it all
We move on to the end of the episode where we can see someone watching the series from what appear to be secret facilities. This is the SWORD base, an organization very similar to SHIELD and responsible for protecting the Earth from any external threat that can reach it.
If the reference to ISAAC is correct then the appearance of SWORD makes sense in the world, they would keep an eye on the two old avengers in case something goes wrong and they decide to harm the earth, or simply when they return to this world.
House of M y Avengers disbanded
This complete series is a reference to the comics, in which Wanda is desperate because she cannot have children with Vision, to whom she is already married and He eventually changes reality to the point where he kills many of his companions, revives heroes and villains alike, and ultimately kills Vision himself..
He eventually manages to have children with Vision, yes, but he loses control of his powers, so her avenging friends try to help her, but getting rid of her kids is a complicated thing because that’s what she wanted most from the world.
If you have Avengers Disassembled and House of M You know this series is not going to have a happy ending because the idea of having children has already been raised, and it is exactly two babies that appear in the comic. Reference to old sitcoms
As you can see, the series was shot in an old format, as far as it is in black and white. The interesting thing about this is that refers to at least two sitcoms with similar themes that appeared on television a few years ago.
These series introduce us to lucky women with magical powers, these are My Beautiful Genius and Bewitched. In both series always things they got out of control thanks to everyday situations and were fixed by magic, literally, by a woman with supernatural powers.
There is no doubt a similar theme, but adding the fact that here the husband also has powers makes the series more interesting. Another day we will see the secrets of episodes 2 and 3.
