Kyrie Irving loses the 4th game in a row for personal reasons and it is unknown when he will return

NEW YORK – Kyrie Irving’s return to the Brooklyn Nets remains a mystery, and coach Steve Nash said on Monday he had no information about his player.

The Nets have ruled out point guard Irving from Monday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as from Tuesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, the fourth he missed for personal reasons. Nash has said it is a private affair, without going into details about Irving’s absence.

Nash did say he understood Irving was undergoing a coronavirus test on Sunday, but didn’t know if he did on Monday.

It depends on Irving continuing to undergo diagnostic testing in his absence to determine how soon he can get back on the team.

The Nets have lost two of their three games without Irving. Kevin Durant missed two of the NBA sanitary protocols for COVID-19 and appeared again on Sunday in a 129-116 loss against Oklahoma City.
