Rachel Uchitel’s life has been a ‘living hell’ since the Tiger Woods affair

Rachel Uchitel, one of the many women Tiger Woods had an affair with when she was married to his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, said her life has been a “ living hell ” for years since the scandal broke.

She explained to “Extra” why she finally breaks her silence 10 years later.

“I’ve been silent for over a decade now, and I felt it was very important for me to speak only once in my life, because I’ve spent all these years getting people to think and say what they want to think what they want. say, “said Uchitel.” I had to take off the shackles and be able to tell my story for me. I’ve spent years under the shame of what’s going on. “

The 45-year-old said she felt “shame” for having an affair with a married man, but “that’s up to me to deal with” and doesn’t think it’s fair to be slandered by the media and the public.

“One moment doesn’t define your life … And I don’t like being branded a mistress,” Uchitel said. “I don’t like being branded as a home worker – that’s not who I am. I am a 45 year old woman. I took a wrong turn 10 years ago … I didn’t throw anyone down the stairs. I haven’t killed anyone. I have made a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes.”

In fact, the scandal has followed her despite the passage of time. “The whole thing has made my life hell for the past 10 years,” said the former nightclub hostess.

Uchitel also shared why she was participating in the upcoming HBO documentary “Tiger” about the golf star’s tumultuous life.

‘I wanted people to see what really happened. I wasn’t a mistress, and I was in a real relationship, and I want people to leave me alone about that. I made a bad decision. And I’m sorry, and I’m ashamed about it and … my apologies are to two people, not to the world, but to two people, ”she said.

The documentary will reportedly show Uchitel recalls the first locked-eye with Woods, also 45, at a New York nightclub. That’s where Woods reportedly asked for her number and texted her minutes later.

Woods’ divorce from Nordegren became official on August 23, 2010. The former couple share two children: daughter Sam Alexis, 13, and son Charlie Axel, 11.

The athlete then went to a sexual rehabilitation treatment center.

Woods’ ex-wife later moved in with Jordan Cameron. Nordegren, 41, and Cameron welcomed a child, a boy named Arthur, together in 2019.

The first part of “Tiger” premiered on HBO on January 10, and the second part aired on January 17.
