Zayn Malik left fans baffled after he ‘smoked weed’ and had a beer on an Instagram Live to promote his latest album on Monday.
The new dad, 28, talked to fans during the video, which took place around 11am in the UK and 6am in New York, where he is believed to currently live.
While he plays tunes from his record, Nobody listensZayn was seen lighting what some called a joint and sipping a bottle before sticking himself into a pizza too.

Zayn also talked about working on new music during the stream, telling delighted fans that he had been recording all day.
He said, “I recorded a sick song today. It may seem a bit strange. I was just sitting at a computer. I’ve looped through four bars. But that’s all I can say. It’s sick, right? ‘
However, some fans got confused and asked if he was home with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid and their baby.
One person wrote, ‘Why does Zayn get high at 6am and pop lights and music while supposedly having a baby in the house? ‘

‘I really hope Zayn isn’t home to blow his album and smoke weed at 4am with a 4-month-old baby sleeping in the next room,’ wrote another baffled fan.
Gigi was spotted with their daughter on a walk in New York City on Friday, where she stopped to pose with a promo truck for her boyfriend’s new record.

Zayn has often spoken openly about smoking marijuana, who previously revealed that he thinks it can help him when it comes to his ‘creative process’ as a musician.

The singer explained that he has been smoking the Class B drug for “while” but insists he doesn’t want his use of the drug affecting his fans in 2016.
Zayn spoke in depth about his life after One Direction, explaining why he sometimes smoked marijuana (aka weed) by saying, “It sometimes helps in the creative process if you smoke good weed.”
In the interview with NME, the hitmaker opened up about his use of the controversial substance and admitted, ‘I’ve probably smoked [it] for a while.’
New parents: Zayn and Gigi welcomed a daughter in September last year, the happy couple has been going on and off since late 2015.
However, although he admitted that he sometimes turned to ‘good weed’ for creative inspiration – presumably while writing music – he did everything he could to explain that he didn’t endorse it publicly.
“I don’t want to say when I started because I don’t want to influence anyone else,” he said as the signatory opened up hesitantly about his use of the drug. “I’ll just do that myself.”
The revelation came as no surprise to his fans, however, as the star has shared candid snaps of himself smoking suspicious-looking cigarettes in the past.
