As such, Yuri Sakazaki has now been revealed for King of Fighters 15 thanks to the latest trailer.
She is the younger sister of Ryo Sakazaki and is the first female practitioner of Kyokugenryu Karate – which is based on a real fighting style called “Kyokushin Karate.”
During the trailer, Yuri Sakazaki shows off his fiery skills by hitting opponents at close range with flaming projectiles. The trailer also reveals she has a deadly uppercut in her arsenal.
Although Yuri uses the lowest quality version of the Kyokugenryu Karate discipline, she rearranges the style to better suit her goals. Many of her techniques have a motif for naming flying swallows.
At the end of the trailer, Yuri has not yet been linked to two other characters. This means we won’t be discovering her canon squad in King of Fighters 15 until the next several weeks.
