Yella Beezy was arrested on Saturday on gun charges, but the rapper says this was intentional … has learned TMZ.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Yella Beezy was driving in Dallas when police overcame him after claiming he was running stop signs. They searched his car – unclear why – and reportedly found an unlicensed weapon.
Video surfaced online showing a police car with flashing lights and a cop checking in the trunk of the black SUV.
Yella Beezy’s manager Adrian Low Brown tells TMZ … the rapper told him he was driving his armored, bulletproof truck in his old neighborhood to get Valentine’s Day flowers for his girlfriend when the police stopped him and said he blew a stop sign.
He says they told him she smelled weed, which he said was an excuse to search his car. Beezy says he doesn’t smoke and the police have not found marijuana or charged him with possession.
As for the gun they found … Beezy’s team says his entire arsenal is on record.
The manager says he is currently trying to save Beezy. The manager says this is a case of police harassment.
Yella Beezy is known for his songs like “That’s On Me”, “Bacc at It Again”, “Up One” and “Goin Through Some Thangs”.
