Gary Sánchez is suffering from a hand injury that removed him from the MLB 2021 regular season game between New York Yankees and Tamoa Bay Rays on Saturday, April 17.
Sanchez hit the right hand on an erroneous tip and while he kept catching the rest of the inning and then took his turn, he was replaced by Kyle Higashioka in the top of the fifth inning.
The injury worried the people of the Bronx team and after leaving the match he was subjected to the corresponding tests, which found that he suffered a bruise in his index and middle fingers; and although the X-rays were negative, he is in a situation on a daily basis.
New York Yankees and Gary Sánchez have had the start of the 2021 MLB season because after 17 days of starting they have only been able to win five games and lose eight times, finishing last in the East of the American League.
