Two years after her Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her debut in Rome, Yalitza Aparicio is very clear that her goal now is to bring visibility to the diversity that exists in Mexico and the world, but she also knows that acting is her thing .
In an interview with El Sol de México, Rome’s protagonist assured her that she would resume her career as an actress, so now she continues to take classes to improve her performance.
“Of course we’re going to be acting again. I also took some time to prepare for different things. It’s very complicated, my respect for all the actors. But there we are, trying to place ourselves every day,” he assured.
He admits there were plans to get back into action in 2020, but the pandemic has delayed them all. “We see when they will resume, but I hope it will be very soon. I have also realized that in the cinema everything takes time, films are not made overnight and sometimes take years ”.
