Xbox Live Gold’s new free games with recoil

Some of Xbox Live Gold’s free games for March 2021 are available now and subscribers to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are unimpressed, in fact, many are now actively protesting the service. This month, PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting some great games, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake, one of the best games of 2020 and one of the best RPGs of the last generation. And this makes the March Games With Gold lineup an even more difficult pill for many subscribers to swallow.

As of today, subscribers can download Warface: Breakout and Metal slag 3, and can look forward to downloading Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse and Port Royale 3 later in the month. The last two games are an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 game, and both are irrelevant or very exciting, especially in 2021. Of course, Metal slag 3 is a decent game in a classic series, but it’s an Xbox 360 game. And as you may know Warface is popular, but it is also free to play.

It’s not an impressive lineup, and Microsoft is hearing about it. Not only did subscribers protest the lineup when it was announced, but the protest continued as the games start to fall. So far, the replies to Microsoft’s Larry Hryb tweet that some of the lineup is now available, almost all of them negative, which isn’t normal.

Shame

Hopefully the team will be there @Xbox takes GwG’s quality feedback seriously. It has been declining significantly for years, probably @XboxGamePass looks better, but in reality the Xbox just looks bad and services like PS Plus look even better. Shame.

Playing with gold has been terrible for centuries. According to a previous comment, Xbox’s balls are going to try to double the price for the junk on offer. When PlayStation offers a lot more when it comes to monthly free games. Look at the past 3 months for both consoles, it’s embarrassing!

None of these appeal to me, except metal slug ….. and I’ve had that for years. I’m going back to AC Valhalla and see what’s next month.
But seriously …. i know they are free and microsoft doesn’t have to do this, but come on … y’all can do better … have done better.

I’ve been an xbox fan for years but I have no words for how bad this month gwg is, had to see if it was March 1 or April 1, I see we are back to 4 games, not 5 like last month

This month there is actually a lot of shovelware. So Happy With Gold expires this month before my library even gets bloated from gold poisoning.
