Xbox Game Pass will soon lose a much-loved RPG

It’s been a solid last month for Xbox Game Pass as a whole. After receiving new titles in What remains of Edith Finch, Flashlight III, and Injustice 2 just to name a few, the service will now be shedding a few games when we start February. One of these games in particular can be a blow to fans of the RPG genre.

The new list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in early February has now been revealed. A total of five titles will leave the subscription service in the coming weeks, including that of Final Fantasy XV. Previously, Square Enix’s most recent numbered entry in the long-running RPG series was available for both console and PC iterations of Xbox Game Pass, but this is finally coming to an end.

If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy and are fed up with this development, it’s not all bad. Xbox has already announced that it has plans to bring more Final Fantasy games to Game Pass in the course of 2021. For now, we don’t know exactly when these other parts will appear in the series, but we should hear more. soon.

As for the other four games leaving Xbox Game Pass soon, it’s a lineup that has quite a bit of diversity when it comes to genre types. Indivisible, Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour, and Sea salt all leave Game Pass for PC and console Final Fantasy XV. Finally, Devolver Digital’s Gray will be the last game to join this slate on the way out. Unlike any other games mentioned here, Gray was only available for the PC segment of Game Pass.

Luckily, if you’re sad to learn that these games are on the way, you still have time to play them all. These changes will only take effect two weeks from today, February 1, 2021. So if you want to give one of these games a shot earlier, the best thing you can do is jump right in.
