A new Xbox Update Preview was released this week to give Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Insiders a taste of a neat feature that is being added that appears to be perfect for multitaskers and social players. The feature in question is tied to the Xbox mobile app. If you’re not already using these, you may be convinced to do so after testing out the update that’s now available to those in the correct Xbox Update Preview rings.
Microsoft has shared the notes for the latest update on the Xbox site to see how the new “View on Mobile” feature works. It’s a simple feature that makes the app much more useful if you want to do something on your Xbox but handle something in the app that’s more intuitive to that platform, like chatting with friends.
“Users will see a new option for ‘View on mobile’ to perform certain actions in the Guide,” explained Microsoft’s comments for the update. When this option is selected, a notification will be sent to users’ phones (if they have the Xbox app installed) to complete the action. “
The image below has been shared to show what that new feature will look like in the menu. It’s a minor change, but it’s one that better connects the app to the console interface and should allow players to more easily initiate and complete a process on the console in the app if the feature is available . Microsoft has not described all the scenarios in which this feature can be used, but its most obvious benefits should be felt when chatting with friends or using the console’s other social features.

Aside from that new feature, the Xbox update included a few more fixes for bugs that players may have encountered. The fixes implemented in the update are listed below.
