WWE wrestler reveals he is now a transgender woman – Diario La Tribuna

A 42-year-old WWE wrestling champion has surprised followers via his Instagram account, in which he is now Gabbi Alon Tuft, with an image of him appearing as a woman next to another during his time as a wrestler.

“This is me. Shameless, shameless me. This is the side of me that’s hiding in the shadows, scared and afraid of what the world would think; afraid of what my family, friends and followers would say or do,” began the writing.

Tuft also said his puberty was marked by questions about his identity: “When I was 10 years old, when my parents weren’t home, I went to my mom’s closet to try on my clothes and I felt good, but I did. I’ve been oppressed all my life, ”he continued to his more than 50,000 followers on the social network.

The retired fighter, formerly known as Tyler Rek, also revealed that the past eight months have been very tough: “The emotional turmoil of being transgender and having to face the world almost killed me multiple times.”

The also personal trainer has been married since 2002 to Priscilla Victoria Tuft from whom she luckily has all the support; they both have a 10-year-old daughter named Mia.

“My loving wife, my family and my best friends have accepted me for who I am. I will always be grateful to them. Their support along the way means more than they will ever know, ”Gabbi Alon made clear.

‘I don’t expect everyone to agree or understand. It is not for me to change your core beliefs. You just have to know that the outer layer can change, but the soul remains the same, ”concluded the announcement that would eventually present her to the world as a woman.
