The 31-year-old has spent most of his nine NFL seasons as the # 1 receiver for the Colts, but he got off to the worst start to his career in 2020 when he saw a diminished role on the offensive.
After catching just 29 passes in the first 10 games of the season – and playing almost two full seasons without a 100-yard game – he appeared on the track again with 27 receptions in the last six games when the Colts earned a wildcard. place. He finished with 762 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Although he has hit the 1,000-yard milestone five times in his career, Hilton has only done it once in the past four seasons (2018) as the injuries started to catch up with the veteran.
After missing just two games in his first five seasons, Hilton – the last remaining remnant of the 2012 Colts’ draft that also included quarterback Andrew Luck – missed a total of nine games in the past three seasons.
The quadruple Pro Bowl roster has 608 career receptions for 9,360 yards – an average of 15.4 yards per catch – and 50 touchdowns.
