Advertising and marketing giant WPP Plc WPP,
has signed a deal with social media platform TikTok that will give WPP agency customers early access to new TikTok ad products, including augmented reality capabilities, and other offerings. TikTok will also partner with influencers on projects for WPP clients. “TikTok has quickly demonstrated the power of mobile video and the many opportunities that brands have to participate in its platform in meaningful and creative ways,” said Mark Read, CEO of WPP, in a statement. WPP previously worked with TikTok. WPP shares rose 2.2% in premarket trading on Monday, but are down 16.4% over the past year. The S&P 500 index SPX,
is up 15.2% over the past 12 months.
