Would Matt Canada choose the Dolphins over the Steelers?

With news on Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers have not renewed offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner’s contract, attention is now turning to who will be his replacement. We outlined a few possible replacements topped by current Pittsburgh quarterbacks coach Matt Canada.

There is also news that Canada is on the Miami Dolphins’ radar to be their next offensive coordinator.

This means Canada could make a decision between the Steelers and Dolphins for its big promotion. If we connect the dots and look at it from this perspective, why would Canada choose the Steelers over the dolphins?

I suppose it would be tradition and loyalty in the first place. The Steelers brought in Canada last season to become the team’s quarterbacks coach in the hope that he would inject his creative offensive philosophies into the University of Maryland’s Steelers attack.

But otherwise I don’t see where Steelers’ job is more attractive. Unless Canada is looking forward to the challenge of at least two years of rebuilding with more questions than answers at quarterback. The Dolphins have had a major turnaround this season and have their young quarterback in place and well into their rebuilding.

But I want to pass the question on to you. If Canada has his choice of the two jobs, which one do you think he will take? Let us know in the comments.
