Wonder Woman 1984 brings in $ 38.5 million

The sequel “Wonder Woman 1984” grossed about $ 38.5 million at box office overseas, Warner Bros. reported. Sunday.

The film starring Gal Gadot began its international screening last week, opening in 32 markets, including China, and on more than 30,000 screens. More than 6 million people attended, the study said, and the positive reviews largely bode well for the future.

Most of the proceeds came from Chinese movie theaters, where it grossed about $ 18.8 million. However, that wasn’t enough to get the top spot in the country like a local movie did.

Originally, “Wonder Woman 1984” was scheduled to hit theaters around the world this summer, but the release date was pushed back time and again.
