In case “not getting a deadly virus” isn’t reason enough to sacrifice your arm for a few doses of the vaccine, Krispy Kreme wants to give you a little extra encouragement – in the form of free donuts year round .
The company announced today that from now until the end of 2021, you can get an original glazed donut for free on presentation of a valid vaccination card any day, at any time, and in any location. You could go once a week, once a day, or visit multiple locations on a given day, and they’ll just keep handing them over.
With this offering, Krispy Kreme is doubling its support for anyone involved in the fight against COVID-19. A company spokesperson says that over the course of the pandemic, the brand has also given away more than 30 million donuts to health workers, first responders, teachers, coaches and graduate seniors – and more are moving towards health workers and volunteers who help administer the vaccine to. And to encourage its own employees to take the photo, the company offers each employee up to four hours of paid time off to get vaccinated.
If you really want to make the trip to your local Krispy Kreme location worthwhile, go every Monday from March 29th through May 24th and get a free medium coffee too – no purchase necessary. (And if you’re still waiting for your vaccination appointment, you can get your own free original glazed donut on that Monday, too.)
