Winds in excess of 80 MPH possible in SE Wyoming until this weekend

At least one 80-mile-per-hour wind was reported in southeastern Wyoming on Saturday, and the National Weather Service’s Cheyenne office says winds of similar or greater speeds are possible for the remainder of the weekend.

The agency posted this statement on its website:

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! For most of southeastern Wyoming, strong wind warnings persist. Gusts of up to 80+ MPH are possible for areas along I80 and I25 for Arlington and Bordeaux until 5am Monday. Areas along the towns of Rawlins, Torrington, Medicine Bow and Wheatland are under a high wind warning with gusts of up to 65+ MPH until 5pm Sunday. Be careful when traveling, especially when driving light / conspicuous vehicles or towing a trailer. Also secure outside holiday decorations for marked areas above! A wind of 80 miles per hour was recorded 10 miles southeast of the crystal reservoir campground on Saturday morning.
