The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked for a friendly way to inform their children of their great-grandfather’s departure.

Kate Middleton and Prince William gradually helped their children understand Prince Philip’s death while dealing with tragedy themselves.

In a conversation with Us Weekly, a source revealed how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are helping their sons, George, 7, Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 2, understand their great-grandfather’s death.

William told George, Charlotte and Louis that Prince Philip has ‘gone to heaven’ and ‘is now an angel,’ the source said.

“They are so young that William and Kate wanted to gently disappoint them,” they added.

‘Of course the kids are very upset, especially George and Charlotte. Louis is still very young and had only met Prince Philip a few times, ”the source shared with the portal.

“George, Charlotte and Louis helped William choose a photo of Prince Philip to hang in his home in memory of him,” they added.
