The Green Bay Packers won’t let their backup run back against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday-evening, but the offensive line will return an important starter in Week 16.
Running back Jamaal Williams is inactive with a quad injury, while center Corey Linsley is back and active after missing three games with a knee injury.
Williams was listed as questionable after injuring his quad against the Carolina Panthers last week. Rookie AJ Dillon will be the number 2 running back, and the Packers have also removed Dexter Williams from the exhibition squad.
Linsley’s return should allow Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins to slide back into the left guard. The Packers can choose between Lucas Patrick, Billy Turner and Rick Wagner at the correct guard and the correct tackle points. Linsley missed wins over the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions and Panthers after injuring his knee against the Chicago Bears on November 29.
Safety Will Redmond (concussion) and tight end Jace Sternberger (concussion) are both inactive. The healthy scratches are quarterback Jordan Love, defensive lineman Anthony Rush, security guard Simon Stepaniak and outside linebacker Jonathan Garvin.
While Rush is inactive, Packers raised veteran Brian Price from the practice squad, adding depth along the defensive line.
