When people find out their age, they fall on their back, just like Condorito

My name is Mariola Cuenca and in July I will be 49 years old. All the lifetime -Since I was small– I found the sport-It was bad competent to make fysical activityWith the support of my parents I have practiced different disciplines: the skates Y bicycleTo exercise and at the same time I had fun with all my friends

When I was 10 years old I was diagnosed myopiaThere I realized I couldn’t do much sport as I wanted. Although I encouraged and I stayed active.

Time passed and I joined the team of taekwondo from collegeAlthough it always was Delgada and small of it height I manage to be the most fastHe wanted to kick first. This is how I became one of the best. I won a medal from it oro for my school.

I’ve been dreaming all my life competeWhen someone stood out in a sport I thought and looked at myself athlete from Elite. I admired the gymnasts, cyclists, skaters and bodybuildersThey were my favorites.

In gymnastics I was not noticed. To win all that flexibility you have to practice from an early age. With the cycling I had an inconvenience; my parents wouldn’t let me go out because I had an accident on the street once after leaving the collegeThe the skatesI’ve practiced so much that my ice skating they got totally old. I LOVED THEM!

I grew up and one day I went to Fitness centerThere I met a coach who took part. I was delighted, I lost the headI wanted to look strong. Around 1991 I started strength training to compete. When I was only 18 years old, I got one palletIt wasn’t bad for me: I got two silver medals.

That – instead of demotivating me – pushed me and helped me become who I am today. In 2018 I went Bikini Master World Champion

To stand out, I have improved several habitsI stopped swallowing a lot desserts and bread -for example-. Now I eat them in moderation. Good habits and sport -I think … it holds me you and in shape. When people discover my age, they deteriorate. Of course I like that. They make me feel like I’m doing good things right and motivate me to keep going.

What do you eat all day?

In the morning I always have my green smoothie with you collagenHas a lot antioxidants Y vitaminsI eat five meals a day and three menus a week, which are linked to the physical activity I do every day.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday I train lower body. Those days I have a diet rich in carbohydrates (medium in protein and low in fat), always accompanied by vegetablesI train on Tuesday and Thursday better, I have one diet mean in carbohydrates (high in protein and medium fat), also always accompanied by vegetables

On Saturdays and Sundays I only do cardiovascular exercises. Those days I resort to a low-diet diet carbohydrates (high in protein and low in fat), always accompanied by vegetables.

Do you resort to processed?

All my foods are products of course: carbohydrates (rice, potatoes, wholemeal bread, sweet potato, Quinoa), protein (eggs, chicken, fish and meat, once a week) and fats (avocado, olive oil and nuts).

I try to drink 3-4 liters of water per dayAlthough sometimes I can’t because I leave home and it gets complicated, but I always carry my thermos.
I avoid preparing my food with fried food and I don’t use sugar. I don’t smoke or drink alcoholic drinks.

And the treats?

I eat them depending on whether I prepare for a competition or not. I eat them once a month depending on my level. I like the BrowniesI enjoy the process. The idea is to be constant and convince yourself you can do it. We can all be more healthy
